DANNER X BALL AND BUCK LIGHT

The next level of handmade American craftsmanship is here: Danner x Ball and Buck Boot. The collaboration features Danner's most iconic silhouette, the Danner Light, uses a special leather that's saturated with oils and waxes, so it only gets better with age and wear. Ball and Buck's signature 10oz camouflage flanks the sides of the boot and a subtle blaze orange stitching touches the heel. Antique brass hardware adds a rugged touch to the classic style. Gumlite soles by Vibram make the boot light enough to be worn in the city while added GORE-TEX makes it functional for actual hunting or hiking. There may be similar ways to craft a boot, but there are not similar standards to that of Danner and Ball and Buck.

Launching Spring/Summer 2014 The Inspiration: There aren't many garments that are more useful, classic, and timeless than a waxed cotton jacket. The same material used by commercial fishermen at the turn of the century, waxed cotton is unique in its durability under heavy use and ability to be reproofed there by restoring the garments water repellency. Unlike a synthetic waterproof material that can easily be torn by thorns or branches when you're out hunting in the field, the waxed cotton is an extremely tight woven cotton that can handle these elements in the field. At Ball and Buck we believe in making products that actually get better with wear, this jacket is the flagship of both that philosophy and the ball and buck line. With wear, a beautiful patina comes out that is unique to every jacket. We've even got a little competition in the office to see who has to get their jacket repaired first. We see patches as beauty marks that make the jacket more valuable.
